Protect Yourself for Winter πŸ’ͺ Flu Vaccinations: 2025/6 πŸ’‰

Posted on:

Flu is not just a cold. It’s a highly infectious disease with symptoms that come on very quickly.

The most common symptoms of flu are fever, chills, headache, aches and pains in the joints and muscles, and extreme tiredness. Healthy individuals usually recover within 2 to 7 days, but for some the disease can lead to hospitalisation, permanent disability or even death.

Flu vaccines help protect against the main types of flu virus circulating.

From 1st September 2025: Vaccinations for Children Aged 2-3, Children at High Risk Groups, and Pregnant Women

From 1st September, we’ll be offering nasal flu vaccines for children aged between 2-3, and children identified to be in high risk groups.

Other children should be able to get their vaccine at school.

Pregnant women should be offered a vaccine through their midwife. But, when we get stock of flu jabs from late September, we’ll be happy to give your jab on request.

From 1st October 2025: Vaccinations for all other at risk groups

From 1st October, we’ll be opening up vaccination clinics and Saturday morning drop in sessions for the following patients.

  • patients with some long term health conditions
  • those aged 65 years or over
  • living in a residential or nursing home
  • the main carer of an older or disabled person
  • living with someone who has lowered immunity due to disease or treatment
  • a frontline health or social care worker

We’ll contact you directly or add more information to the website closer to the time.
