Check the status of a referral
If a clinician has referred you to a local hospital or local service, you should be able to see the status of your referral by checking NHS App.
If this doesn’t work, you can still contact us.
Complaints, compliments, and feedback
Please see this page for details on complaints, compliments and feedback.
Doctor’s letters, insurance reports, taxi medicals, and other non-NHS work
While our primary focus is providing NHS care, we understand that there are times when you might need services not covered by the NHS. Private work includes services outside the scope of NHS funding, such as:
- ‘To whom it may concern’ letters
- Fostering and adoption medicals
- Taxi driver medicals
- Insurance reports and life insurance applications
Since these services aren’t funded by the NHS, they come with a fee.
You can request us to complete Non-NHS (Private) Work using this page.
Evidence for Universal Credit applications, or PIP applications
A doctor’s letter is not necessary for application for either benefit.
A print out of your medical summary (a ‘brief summary’) will be enough. Our receptionists can print this off via reception, or you can do this yourself using NHS Online services.
