Our practice’s first priority is our work for the NHS. However, we understand that there are times when you might need services not covered by the NHS. Examples of ‘private’ (non-NHS) work include doctor’s letters, medical reports for insurance, holiday cancellation certificates, or fostering/adoption forms.
Since these services aren’t funded by the NHS, they come with a fee. We’ll always inform you of costs upfront. Payment is required before we begin the work, to ensure clarity and fairness for everyone.
Our dedicated team strives to complete private work requests within 21-28 days. However, please understand that NHS care remains our primary responsibility, and there might be occasional delays.

- We prioritize NHS services but are committed to assisting with private requests when possible.
- All private work is conducted in line with professional guidelines and ethical standards.
- We will complete all work honestly and truthfully. We are not responsible for the decisions made by a third party as a result of our work (for example, an insurer’s decision after seeing our report).
- We reserve the right to decline requests that fall outside our expertise or professional boundaries. In particular, our GPs don’t complete private work related to capacity assessments (for court of protection or power of attorney). This work typically falls to a private Psychiatrist or solicitor.
